Students will keep a composition book as an interactive notebook for this class. We will set up the notebook together in class. Each student is responsible for bringing the notebook to class each day and keeping it organized. There will be notebook checks throughout the year.

If you are out, you must make up the missed work in order to receive credit. Zeros will be awarded for any missing assignments. It is the Student’s responsibility to find out what assignments were missed. This can be done by checking the Assignments board and folder at the front of the room. You will have three working days to complete missing assignments. You must see me to schedule a time to make up missed Tests/Quizzes/Labs Depending on what was missed, a student may have to stay late or arrive early to make up missing assignment.

Note: An absence from class for ANY reason is still an absence. This includes missing class due to field trips, or being held by another teacher.

Bathroom Breaks will be considered an absence from class. Students will be allowed two bathroom breaks per semester. After that, a student leaving his/her seat to go to the restroom will fall under the discipline plan (see Discipline Plan).

If you are late to class, this is a disciplinary issue. Upon entering class, quietly sign the tardy log. If you have an excuse, place it on my desk.  As a Tardy is a disciplinary infraction it will fall under the class discipline plan (see Discipline Plan).
